I may have mentioned it one or two times, but I am huge Disney fan.
The countdown is on. Walt Disney World and I will be reunited in one week from today! I plan on being in Animal Kingdom next Thursday. Recently, I decided to purchase an annual pass, even though I live in Virginia. My sister lives in Orlando so I am always happy to fly down for a visit… and going to Disney is always a bonus! This is my first year getting one without living close to Disney, but it was surprisingly worth it for me!
Yes, even as many times I have been, it is still amazing!
I don’t even know how many times I have been to Disney. When I lived in California (2007-2009), my husband and I had Disneyland annual passes. I had annual passes to Walt Disney World several different years when I lived in Florida. My last time being an annual passholder was during the late 2009 – early 2011 timeframe. At the time, Disney was running a deal where I actually had longer than 12 months on my pass. Since I moved to Virginia, I do not get to go as frequently, but we still try to go at least once a year.
This year, I will be going in April for the half-marathon (for the 3rd year in a row!), and then I am going again during Memorial Weekend. When I considered the two different trips, parking, photo pass, and discounts on food and merchandise, it was already worth it to get an annual pass. Any additional times I go through the year will be a bonus! And there are still SO many things that I haven’t done yet! When we go to Animal Kingdom next week, it will be our first time going to the Avatar land.
Always love a chance to cosplay or wear Disney attire!
Besides going to Disney, I always love a chance to cosplay Disney characters. This past Halloween, I was Cruella De Vil, and my daughter was a dalmation. The previous year, we were Rey and BB-8. For her first Halloween, I was Rapunzel and she was Pascal. Dressing up with her is one of the best parts of being a mommy. I am so excited to dress up together when we go to Galactic Nights in May. As I mentioned in my Awesome Con post, I am still debating between wearing our Rey and BB-8 costumes or purchasing new costumes.
I am undecided what we will do this Halloween. Yes, I know I still have several months to plan… but I like to be on top of my costume planning! Even though I also mentioned that I am debating on my Galactic Nights costume too. Maybe I am slacking a little in the costume planning department.
I have considered doing yet another Star Wars costume, but I think I will wait until it gets closer to Halloween and let Layla have some input. Now that she is almost 3 years old, she is started to have a lot to say when it comes to her outfits! Even last year, the Cruella De Vil costume was not my original choice for Halloween. But, it was really easy to convince her to be a puppy so I decided to go for it. And I am glad that I did because it ended up being one of my favorite costumes.
Mixing in Disney with every day attire…
Besides Halloween and special events, I love wearing Disney clothes, even when I am not doing a full costume. That is one reason why I love all the Disney collections from LuLaRoe. Note: I do not sell LuLaRoe, but I do know some amazing people that do. And I have purchased so many adorable Disney LuLaRoe clothes, especially during Halloween time! I loved the Nightmare Before Christmas leggings and shirts. Hopefully, I am able to go down to Disney during Halloween time and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party again this year and wear some of my favorite pieces.
I am already packing my suitcase for my trip next week, and I have a mixture of cute clothes and Disney clothes. I will be doing The Dark Side half-marathon so I plan on wearing my race shirt to Hollywood Studios the day after the race, and I am so excited to pose with Star Wars characters with my race medals.
How do you rock Disney style?
